Recipe: Gentle Toner

© Allison Kontur | Smell No Evil, Ltd.
A toner is a lotion or wash designed to cleanse the skin and shrink the appearance of pores. Most toners are formulated for use on the face and are intended to be used between a cleanser and moisturizer.

You Will Need:

Using disposable droppers, measure essential oils into an 8 ounce PET plastic or glass bottle. Add remaining liquid ingredients, cap with a fine mist sprayer and shake well to incorporate.
Product Usage:

Two of the most popular methods for toner application are:
  • Spray a disposable cotton round with toner until saturated. Gently wipe across face, paying special attention to problem areas like the T-zone. Discard pad when through and allow skin to dry before applying moisturizer.
  • Mist toner directly onto face, taking care to avoid eyes. Allow to dry before applying moisturizer.

Sounds simple and has great ingredients too!
How long can this be stored?

Esther: This can really be stored almost indefinitely due to the alcohol content in both the witch hazel distillate and the calendula tincture which act as a preservative. Strangely, it smells kind of like cinnamon to me today...my sniffer might be off!
