We understand that not all of our service areas experience extreme winter weather conditions, however, your purchase from us may experience winter weather even if you do not!Please keep in mind the following:
- All packages are packed securely to help prevent damage. However, they are not freeze-proof. Some products (especially water-based products like Body Splashes, Linen Sprays, Liquid Colorants, etc.), are highly susceptible to freezing or hardening as they are in transit. Please plan accordingly and select expedited shipping if you order freezeable items to limit their exposure. We cannot (and UPS will not) replace orders that have frozen in transit.
- Many raw materials are still useable after exposure to cold temperatures. These may include oils and vegetable butters which may become quite hard in transit, but are otherwise unaffected.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by extreme weather conditions. Much like areas affected by hurricanes, earthquakes or other natural disasters, we are located in the snow belt just south of the Great Lakes. We experience extreme weather conditions frequently throughout the winter months. Sometimes the amount of snow, ice and rain received prevents us from opening our doors or prevents UPS from picking up your shipment from our facility. Additional delays may occur in transit as your package travels through areas which may be harder hit than we are. UPS only guarantees delivery on expedited and air deliveries. UPS Ground shipments are not guaranteed to arrive by a predetermined date.
- All packages are tagged with a UPS Tracking Number that is entered into your account online as well as emailed directly to you via the UPS system. It is your responsibility to provide a valid email address to receive these notifications. Please keep in mind, some email providers may tag these automated emails as spam, so be sure to check your spam folder if you do not see it in your inbox. Phone calls requesting your tracking number and or additional tracking information takes away from our ability to fill orders in a timely manner. You may log into your online account with us at any time to check the status of your order and the associated shipping information if you cannot locate the UPS notification in your email.
