Priia Cosmetics

One thing I love about doing business online is the opportunity to meet business owners in the beauty industry and try their products. I "met" Kelley Maddison on Twitter nearly a year ago and when the time came to replace an under eye concealer, I ordered her Creamy Under Eye Concealer.

I'm pleased to say that for the first time ever, I used an entire container of product in less than a year. Having a fair complexion and combination skin, it is often difficult to find a multi-purpose product that doesn't either irritate my skin or make me break out.
Since I ran out of Priia under eye concealer and several other products are nearing their expiration dates, I purchased several Priia products to replace the items I need to toss.

The following list outlines the items I purchased from Priia.com and my impression of each of them now that I've had a chance to try them all out.

Body Sparx™ in Goddess: Scented body shimmer powder: I couldn't detect much of a scent which was fine with me since it didn't interfere with my perfume. This powder provides lots of shimmer without that "chintzy" glitter effect you get with inferior products. Plus, I didn't shed sparkle everywhere, they pretty much stayed put until I showered and were easy to remove without scrubbing. Love this product!

Creamy Mineral Under Eye Concealer in Light/Medium Salmon: The name says it all, this product is creamy and the salmon color disguised everything from acne to rosacea to dark circles on my skin. It may have been formulated specifically for under eye but it is an excellent go-to concealer for all of my skin issues!

About2Pout™ Natural Lip Gloss in Sugared Rose: I hate sticky lip glosses with cloying flavors. This Natural Lip Gloss is neither, thankfully! Applies smoothly without clumping and a little goes a long way, I only reapplied once in a 6 hour period during which I was drinking wine and talking. That's some staying power! Normally glosses feather on my lips whether I use a liner or not. Priia gloss did not and I didn't use a liner. The product description says it is 'delicately scented with Tangerine Flavor Oil' but I couldn't detect it. Again, not a problem as it doesn't need a flavor!

Mineral Satin Shadow in Mint Leaf: I absolutely love this color and it compliments my brown eyes. These are advertised as 'long-wearing' colors and true to form, the first time I wore it 12 hours and the second time I wore it 8 hours with very little smudging, creasing or fading.

Mineral Satin Shadow in Desert Sunset: I expected this color to be a lighter pink, but combined with the Mint Leaf it became less 'red' with my complexion. Again, very long wear with very little degradation and not overly sparkly which made application a cinch with little mess!

Creamy Mineral Face Concealer in Neutral Ivory: I love that this concealer is Vegan and Gluten-Free and I really wanted to love it as much as I love the Under Eye Concealer, but I found it a tad dry for my liking. I also think I needed to go one shade darker. Coverage is excellent with very little of this concealer but I don't care for the dryer texture when compared against the Under Eye Concealer.

Wet/Dry Foiling Brush: I added this brush not because I 'needed' another makeup brush but because I wanted to reach $75 to get free shipping on my order. I am pleasantly surprised with this brush as it makes shadow application a breeze while allowing for wet or dry foiling techniques. Best $9.00 I've ever spent and the brush is Vegan too!

It is rare when buying makeup (especially online) that I love so many things about a product line, but Priia Cosmetics live up to their promises. The Vegan and Gluten-Free items are an added plus too. Check out the goodies Priia has to offer, and tell Kelley I sent you!
